We are looking for a confident Multi Skilled Shift Engineer who is passionate about Automation to join the established team at our clients busy fully automated warehouse in Bolton.

You will be responsible for carrying out preventative maintenance on a wide range of Material Handling Equipment including Conveyors, palletisers, shuttles and robotics to name a few, while swiftly responding to breakdowns keeping downtime to a minimum.

This is a fast paced environment and you will need to be proactive taking ownership of problems while ensuring you are working safely at all times.

Key responsibilities for a Multi Skilled Shift Engineer

Mechanically; Reading assembly drawings, stripping and re-assembling with hand tools. Electrically; System testing, field wiring, system calibration, interpreting circuit diagrams and work with 415V motor controls Basic field wiring Knowledge of hydraulics and pneumatics Strong Attention to detail and strong time management skills CMMS use Service and repair of equipment on site Adhere to Health & Safety Guidelines Be open, willing to learn and adapt to role requirements Perform routine preventative and reactive maintenance Qualifications, Skills and Experience for a Multi Skilled Shift Engineer

NVQ/BTEC/C&G Level 3 in an Electro-Mechanical Engineering A solid understanding of PLC s Pneumatic and Hydraulic experience Confident Computer and Microsoft Office skills Experience with engineering stores and CMMS systems HNC/HND would also be desirable.
