The Company

Our client is a leading residential block management company and due to continued growth in their portfolio they are looking for a Service Charge Accountant to join.

Specializing in leasehold block and estate management for over 15 years. Operating throughout the country, they work with many regional and national developers.

The Role

Duties of the Residential service charge accountant can include but are not limited to:

Production of residential service charge accounts

Reconciliation of independently prepared accountsClient liaison on all accounting mattersInternal liaison with Property ManagersAssisting with complex queries from Property ManagersProduction of year end certificates and explanations with final accountsWorking to deadlinesSupporting the Property Managers and Branch Managers in the local branchAssisting RMC Directors in the understanding of the service charge accountsAttending AGMs and other meetings with clients as requiredEnsuring RICS Service Charge Residential Management Code is adhered to

Required Skills

Understanding of leasehold property accountingExcellent communication skillsGood literacy and numeracy skillsKnowledge of double entry booking keepingKnowledge of lease interpretation, apportionment, schedules, balancing and reserve fund complianceKnowledge of Section 20B legislation

Desired Skills

Previous experience in the residential property management field, specifically with direct experience in service chargePrevious experience with "Tramps" system
