Description

Grundfos are looking for a Service Sales Development Manager/ Service and Sales Partner within our Water Utilities team.

The Job

This position will report directly to our Area Sales Manager Director for Water Utilities UK and Ireland and collaborate closely with; External Sales Team, Internal Sales Manager, Service Delivery Manager, Regional Marketing, Divisional Service Business Development and Digital Sales. This position will sit within the Water Utility UK Leadership team and have an integral part in this division's growth.

The focus for this role will be to develop and maintain a strategy for the Service and Aftermarket sales in the Area. The ideal candidate will continuously aim to improve our overall posistion in the market, promote and improve our sales growth and increase profitability from our spare parts and service offerings. You will also focus on building the needed capability and internal alignment along with working with our sales tools and marketing material to enable a successful sales effort by the full sales team and our partner network.

Other focuses within this role are:

Spare Parts:

Ensure pricing is comprehensive, profitable, effective, and available. Monitor spare parts availability and take corrective action if needed. Identify and promote cross selling opportunities. Train our customer service and sales partners on how to select spare parts. Follow up and report on sales and profitability performance for spare parts. Service Partners:

Identify and evaluate new potential Service Partners in corporation with our External Sales and Service Delivery teams to ensure adequate geographical coverage and improve partner-based sales. Facilitate Service Partner certification and training in collaboration with Service Delivery. Develop and implement marketing programs aimed at accelerating sales of products and services through Service Partners working in close collaboration with regional marketing. Service Offerings:

Define service offerings needed to participate in the market for supply of pumps and solutions in our strategic scope for the Area. Define services offerings that can differentiate Grundfos, bring us closer to customers and represent a profit opportunity in the Area. Develop the sales material, pricing models, part numbers and training programs that are needed to sell service offerings in the Area. Align with Service Delivery on capability, coverage and service levels needed to implement our business model in alignment with customer expectations and competitive dynamics of the market. Support or drive bids for larger Service Opportunities e.g. frameworks or tenders for Service Contracts. Collaborate with business development on evaluating and potentially implementing new service offerings in the Area. Collaborate with the Digital sales team on deploying digital offerings in the Area and ensure a robust process for follow up on leads for digital sales opportunities. Monitor and follow up on SLA and KPIs for Service Delivery in the Area. Follow up and report on pipeline, order intake, sales and profitability for SOFFE. Customer Service:

Ensure our services and service levels meet the needs of our customer, including but not limited to:

Warranty and returns handling. Lead time on basic service offerings. Trouble shooting capability and responsiveness. Claims / Complaint management. Could this be you?

Educational qualifications in engineering or experience within the industry or in a similar position

Experience in developing and deploying strategy, with a hands-on approach.

Experience or knowledge of the water utility sector,

Ability to working in a commercial role.

A positive mindset and personality with a preference for initiating action independently.

Good interpersonal skills and highly empathic Effective negotiation skills Solid business understanding and basic financial capabilities. Good communication skills - verbally as well as written. Comprehensive stakeholder management skills. Ability to work both strategically but also hands on in deployment. Structured and practical approach to planning.
