Description

We are looking for a passionate Senior User-Experience (UX) Designer for a 12 month cover.

As an advocate for Design Thinking, you will ensure that all projects have a clear rationale and will be there to champion the user throughout the project lifecycle collaborating with the UX & CX teams to conceive and conduct user research, interviews, and surveys, translating them into user flows, customer journey maps, wireframes, mock-ups, and prototypes.

As a Senior UX Designer will be expected to design the overall functionality of the product, ensuring a great user experience, and iterate upon it in accordance with user testing whilst harnessing measurable changes in user behaviour to define success metrics for outcomes in line with our business goals and strategy.

Key Responsibilities as a Senior UX Designer:

Translate concepts into user flows, wireframes, mock-ups and prototypes that lead to intuitive user experiences. Facilitate the product vision by researching, conceiving, sketching, prototyping, and user-testing experiences. Champion the use of quantitative/qualitative research to inform decisions, ensuring that there is a clear rationale for all work. Utilising measurable changes in behaviour as success metrics for outcome-focused discovery & delivery. Design and deliver wireframes, user stories, user journeys, and mock-ups optimised for a wide range of devices and interfaces. Identify design problems and devise elegant solutions. Assist in updating, managing, and maintaining the design system. Take a user-centred design approach and rapidly test and iterate your designs. Demonstrate a clear knowledge of customer needs, advocating for users throughout all projects. Collaborate with other team members and stakeholders. Ensure W3C accessibility guidelines are followed for all user interfaces. Follow up post-launch with ongoing user feedback and data analysis, suggesting changes based on these findings in line with outcomes defined in our business goals. Ask smart questions, take risks, and champion new ideas. Some skills we would like you to have :

3+ years of UX design experience ideally in designing complex solutions for complete digital environments and marketplaces. Expertise in standard UX software such as Figma, InVision, Miro. Basic HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript knowledge/skills are a plus. Ability to understand detailed requirements and design complete user experiences that meet the defined needs and vision. Experience working with developers and product owners to deliver products and features. Extensive experience in using UX design best practices to design solutions, and a deep understanding of mobile-first and responsive design. A solid grasp of user-centred design (UCD), planning and conducting user research, user testing, A/B testing, rapid prototyping, heuristic analysis, usability, and accessibility concerns. Ability to iterate designs and solutions efficiently and intelligently. Ability to communicate design processes, ideas, and solutions to all stakeholders clearly and effectively. A clear understanding of the importance of user-centred design and design thinking. Be passionate about resolving user pain points through great design. Research and showcase knowledge of the industry s latest trends and technologies. Some knowledge of UX role in agile Scrum methodology and practices is an advantage. This is a UK Remote position with occasional travel to our Reading Office, it will also be a 12 month fixed term contract looking to start in March.
