Description

We are working with an Affordable Housing provider, who are looking to recruit a Senior Surveying Manager on a permanent basis.

As one of the Operational leads for the organisation, you will regionally deliver the annual programme of planned investment, cyclical redecoration and major works including delivery of the organisation's responsive repairs, voids and estate services contracts.

You will manage the long-term strategic relationships with key partnering contractors, and lead and manage a team of Area Surveyors.

Duties will include:

Lead on the building and management of sustainable partnerships so that contractors are resilient and profitable whilst delivering good quality services in the way customers expect.Develop and embed processes that remove waste, drive costs down, increase social value initiatives and deliver real digital innovation.Assist in the design of Customer involvement strategies to ensure that residents have a voice in shaping and improving service outcomes.Develop, support, manage and sustain customer involvement groups and key partner national networking groups to share experience, best practice, innovation etc.Assist in the procurement and mobilisation of new supply chain partners.Ensure that all services are delivered in accordance with contract terms, KPIs and budgeted spend.Ensure compliance with all relevant policies and procedures to ensure there are no statutory, regulatory or contractual breaches.To apply for the position, we are looking for:

Relevant experience of managing Surveying teams and contractors/DLO for a Social Housing providerProven experience of leading multi-disciplined teamsProven experience of developing and implementing customer and stakeholder engagement strategies.Proven experience of driving costs down whilst improving economic and social value.Proven experience of managing large service budgets.Knowledge of building law, regulation, building contracts, contract law and health and safety legislation and best practice.Educated to HND level or equivalent, professional qualification in construction, housing, management or property.A full UK driving license with the ability to drive as and when required by the business.This is a home based position with the requirement to attend face to face meetings within the geographical patch as required.
