Our client is an engineering consultancy with a true passion for historic building preservation and restoration and they are looking for a like-mind Senior Structural Engineer to join their close-knit team based in central Edinburgh.

As a Senior Structural Engineer, you will work on the conservation of some of Edinburgh's most iconic buildings as well as designing bespoke, new constructions for private clients throughout the UK.

If you are an Edinburgh native, you are very likely to recognise some of the work that has been delivered by this experienced design consultancy.

Upon joining the business, you will become part of a small team of ten enthusiastic engineers working in a Victorian style office that has access to various public transportation links nearby that will allow you to access the office from most parts of the city in under 30 minutes.

As the headcount is small, the directors are very hands-on and are happy for all engineers to be creative and influence the design process whilst demonstrating their own engineering flare whilst displaying their ability to tackle complex and complicated challenges.

SENIOR STRUCTURAL ENGINEER PROFILE

As a Senior Structural Engineer, it is expected that you will be able to work independently whist managing your own workloads. Although, you will report directly to two directors, all members of the office are happy to offer insight and guidance.

Working from home is a genuine option, however the directors have a preference to having all staff under one roof as much as possible as they believe that this contributes to a close-knit, family-oriented office environment.
