Package: 55,450 - 87,000 (depending on your suitability and level of experience)

As the Senior Mechanical Safety Manager, you will report directly to the Chief Engineer for Sites & Assets and be required to:
Provide a focal point for advice, information and expertise on policy, best practice and mechanical safety engineering knowledge
Apply your skills on a wide array of unique technologies that only exist at AWE
Review, maintain and improve an organisation of competent persons who will be responsible for application of the mechanical-related safety across the company
Monitor AWE's compliance legislation, standards and relevant good practice
Provide an Intelligent Customer interface with AWE's Regulators at a corporate level
Build and maintain communications with other organisations to share best practice and improve
Help to shape AWE's future as a world class company
Be a role model in excellence, integrity and accountability
Ideal attributes for this role include:
Experience in development, implementation or application of mechanical safety policy
Experience in mechanical safety throughout the asset lifecycle (design to decommissioning)
Experience of working within a regulated industry
Experience as an Authorising Engineer (JSP 375), or equivalent
Chartered or Incorporated Engineer status or working towards professional recognition
NEBOSH General Certificate or recognised Health & Safety qualification
All candidates must be able to obtain and maintain the necessary security clearance for the role and be willing and able to work in designated areas.
