The role

As a Senior Programme Manager, you will be responsible for the management of a challenging and important Programme in our UK Defence Portfolio. You will be managing a multi-disciplinary team (Subsea, Mechanical, Software, Electronics, Digital and Civil Infrastructure) and using your expertise in the maritime domain to deliver successfully.

Delivery of the Programme outcomes, to agreed baseline (customer satisfaction, time, cost, quality, cash and sales).Application of governance requirements (including lifecycle, project & independent reviews as appropriate) for foundation sales and delivery work.Coordinating internal resources, and third parties / suppliers, for the successful execution of projects. Ensuring that all applicable company processes are followed (e.g. Engineering Design)Establish the vision and direction for the portfolio (in line with the ISBP), to influence and align others towards this common purpose, and to empower & inspire people to achieve success.

This role is full-time, 37-hours per week, and based at our Farnborough, Portsmouth or Bristol site with flexible, hybrid working arrangements. There will be regular travel to other QinetiQ sites and various ranges across the UK in this role.

Essential Experience for the Senior Programme Manager

Previous experience working in the defence industry is essential and maritime experience preferable.Significant experience in leading a business, projects, programmes, portfolios or P3 function; successful delivery of complex programmes. Experience leading programmes to 3 different customers.Knowledge of Customer (SDA, MoD and DNO) contracting mechanisms.
