Senior Product Engineer Up to GBP85k DOE Cambridge PermanentWe have an opportunity for a Senior Product Engineer to oversee New Product Introduction (NPI) and spearhead product yield engineering and quality initiatives to guarantee the company's goods fulfil requirements and quality benchmarks.This is an exciting opportunity to join an award-winning sensor technology company based in Cambridge.Salary and Benefits: Salary up to GBP85,000 DOEBonus based on personal and company performancePrivate medical insuranceHealth insurance25 days holiday + bank holidaysRelocation support Role/Responsibilities: Engage in the early phases of the product life cycle to guarantee the development and prototyping stage of Design for Reliability (DfR), Manufacturability (DfM), and Testability (DfT).Assume a leading position in early product development manufacturing risk assessments, including stakeholders and providing them with updates.Establish qualification plans for sensor components (based on authorised qualifications specifications), which should include gap analysis, sample test method specifications, pass/fail criteria, timetable planning, data analysis, and reporting.Plan, coordinate, and oversee the internal and external test service providers' execution of your qualification strategies.Calculate the field failure rates and product lifetime.Launch new products from NPI into production while keeping an eye on results and promoting improvements in yield, quality, delivery, and cost.Maintain manufacturing quality performance in accordance with the product specification.Review product quality measurements and in-line test results with suppliers on a regular basis. Candidate Requirements: Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.Fundamental knowledge of electronics.Knowledge of production test and measurement ideas, including reproducibility, accuracy, and repeatability.Extensive use of data analysis software and tools from the semiconductor industry, as well as the capacity to write scripts for standard analysis and journals like JMP.Knowledgeable about global standards for semiconductor product qualityKnowledge of semiconductor and MEMS production processes, including their controls, monitors, and capabilities.
