Job Title: Senior Payroll Administrator
Location: Manchester (Hybrid)

Are you an experienced Payroll candidate, that wants to join one of the worlds most iconic football clubs and be a part of the dynamic team at Manchester United? We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Senior Payroll Administrator to play a key role in our Payroll Team.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide support and mentorship to junior team members.
• Ensure accurate salary payments, while continuously improving processes.
• Process UK payrolls, recording and validating fixed and variable data.
• Handle statutory payments (SSP/SMP/SPP/SAP/ShPP).
• Manage payroll deductions, including taxes, meeting legal deadlines.
• Assist with modernising and improving payroll processes.
• Support year-end activities, including P60 forms issuance.
• Maintain pension schemes, ensuring timely and accurate payments.
• Ensure compliance with Auto Enrolment legislation.
• Respond to payroll-related queries from employees and third parties.
• Maintain the holiday pay module in the payroll system.
• Conduct regular audits to ensure compliance and governance.
• Monitor and maintain the shared Payroll mailbox.
Requirements:
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel (advanced level).
• Previous payroll experience in a fast-paced environment.
• Knowledge of tax legislation, wage laws, and pensions.
• Ability to manage end-to-end payroll processes.
• Experience with HMRC submissions, RTI, and EDI uploads.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a team and independently.
• Understanding of benefits in kind and GDPR.
• Familiarity with modern systems and technology.
