You will be joining us at an exciting time as we have just undertaken a large programme of home condition surveys which will inform our 30 year plan. We have also been awarded grant funding to retrofit over 2,200 properties over the next two years.
As Senior Options Surveyor working alongside the Head of Assets and Sustainability reporting to the Data Manager you will be responsible for developing the options appraisal programme and the setting of targets for poorly performing stock.

In housing you can make a real difference, the role of Senior Options Appraisal Surveyor will involve:
Coordinating all activities to maintain, update and verify the Asset Performance Evaluation (APE) model to ensure Citizen can review all assets appropriately, using existing data,
Managing the stock condition surveying workstream and creating flexible capacity to deliver stock condition surveys at scale (internally or externally sourced).
Assisting with the collection, validation, and analysis of stock condition data necessary to implement our asset management strategy.
Leading in the appraisal of assets to provide recommendations and solutions for future use, considering retain, refurbish, re-purpose and release of assets in the portfolio.
Critically analysing assets to support the Business and Asset Management Strategies,
Monitoring the performance of the decision outcomes, including lessons learnt.
Reviewing housing and property related data, including reactive and planned budgets, void information as well as other financial and nonfinancial performance measures to assess Citizen s stock.
Utilising tools to provide Net Present Value (NPV) calculations and ability to model scenarios, identify poor performing assets and develop options for investment / divestment.
Knowledge of various income streams / product types, including social rent, Care & Support including a basic knowledge of grant related income to be able to make appropriate re-p recommendations, including development opportunities.
Preparing and delivering reports on outcomes from stock appraisals to a variety of stakeholders including the Senior Leadership Team, Executive Leadership Team and Board.
Building great relationships with stakeholders, both internal and external, promoting collaborative and positive working processes and a culture of customer service excellence.
As Senior Options Appraisal Surveyor we need you to have:
HND in Construction and Property or a building topic-based Degree or other property focussed industry recognised qualification or experience in a related area.
Excellent understanding of scheme / property appraisal techniques.
Excellent data analysis skills, used to exporting and manipulating information, preparing, and issuing reports to SLT, ELT and Board
Experience of taking a proactive approach to risk management, ensuring risks and issues are identified, addressed, and reported and where appropriated, escalated.
Ability to respond constructively to conflicting demands and pressures, and changes in priority or interruptions from colleagues, stakeholder and customers.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Knowledge of and commitment to good customer care and customer focused service delivery
Full UK driving licence to enable you to travel across areas where Citizen operates.
