Ensuring the successful delivery of technically excellent multidisciplinary rail projects and bids across our UK portfolio, you will be responsible for determining the OLE design requirements from our client brief and be able to make sound decisions and propose the right design solution. Thereafter produce the required OLE design to multidisciplinary design teams on large or medium-sized projects. In addition, you would be aligning on and checking the OLE designs and calculations within implementation and renewal projects. Throughout the above, you would be collaborating and sharing knowledge, best practices and innovation across our business, providing guidance, training, and feedback with other related disciplines and skills, locally and across the UK.

Is this role right for you?
We are looking for people with the following skills and experience;
Skills in leading the production and approval of Overhead Line Equipment Feasibility Experienced in Scheme and Detailed Design (including OLE layout plans, cross-sections, sectioning diagrams, bills of quantity, bonding plans within multi-disciplinary rail projects)Competent in the production of drawings using CAD (e.g. Bentley MicroStation) software, design software (e.g.LinearDraft and ELF)Previous experience in site surveys/site visits and reporting on asset conditions.Ideally an associate member of the IMEchE or IET and an Incorporated Engineer or Chartered Member of the IMEchE, IET or similar. stride is acting as an Employment Agency in relation to this vacancy.
