This is an opportunity to join an innovative and novel immuno–oncology start up looking to address one of the largest disease burdens in the world: cancer. They are looking for a knowledgeable and experienced senior immunologist with skills within molecular biology, in vitro immunology and protein engineering. This role will report directly to the CEO gaining amazing experience not only within the lab but learning about the industry and contributing to company growth and development.What you'll be doing: Make up a key part of the scientific team ensuring design, delivery and analysis of research projects are carried out effectively.Conducting high–quality cancer and immunology research alongside the biology team whilst supporting a positive lab culture – providing support, feedback, constructive criticism, and solutions for the team.Using prior knowledge and experience within the immuno–oncology space to identify novel therapeutics, particularly molecular biology, in vitro immunology and protein engineering skills.Ensuring effective interaction with outsourced research activities. What experience you will need to apply: Significant experience in cell and molecular biology techniques and cell/tissue culture.PhD in Molecular Biology, Cell Biology, Biochemistry or another relevant discipline, or a Masters Degree with at least 3 years' relevant laboratory experience.A history of successful and innovative research within the of immuno–oncology, tumour microenvironment, T cell biology, TCR function, dendritic cell biology, CAR–T or TCR–T cells or even gene editing would be an advantage.Self–starting experience designing and overseeing complex bioscience projects – managing the planning, data generation and data analysis of multiple projects.Demonstrable project management experience. Ability to design, prioritise, manage and undertake high quality lab work.Publication record within the cancer therapeutic field.
