AWE is now recruiting for a Senior Human Factors Specialist to lead the Human Factors input to the design and assessment of AWE's facilities and processes as part of a multi–disciplinary engineering team.
Location: Aldermaston, Berkshire
Package: GBP44,990 – GBP70,000 (depending on your suitability and level of experience)

Your responsibilities will include:
Lead the production of Human Factors assessments and other technical inputs to the design process and to safety cases and safety documentation for a range of facilities including radioactive, explosives and chemical plant
Provide Human Factors subject matter expertise to Design and Peer review
Provide an Intelligent Customer interface with Regulators at a project level
Lead Human Factors research relating to AWE's activities
Promote Human Factors Review Learn and Improve
Whilst not considered a checklist, we will expect candidates to be able to demonstrate:
A strong background in delivering Human Factors design and engineering solutions in safety critical or regulated industries
A broad technical experience of Human Factors methods, tools and techniques
Experience of applying human factors methods in a dynamic, multi–disciplined environment
Higher education qualification in relevant a discipline (Engineering, Science, Ergonomics, Psychology etc)
Ability to manage both technical and non–technical stakeholder relationships
Candidates must be willing and able to obtain and maintain the necessary security clearance for the role.
