We are looking for a Senior HR Advisor working four days, for one of Leeds' leading firms.
The role
This is a full-time, permanent position and applicants will ideally have HR experience gained in a legal or partnership environment.
This broad, generalist role will report into the Senior HR Business Partner and be based in the central Leeds office. The business operates a hybrid model of working (1-2 days per week in the office).
Responsibilities
Providing a high quality, pro-active and solutions-focused generalist HR service to the business. Working closely with the HR Advisor to support and advise managers on HR and Employee Relations matters. Working closely with the team to ensure consistency in approach. Working with the HR leadership team, help to implement process improvements. Supporting the Equality, Diversity & Inclusion programme. Playing a key role in the firm's salary review, promotion, and bonus processes Supporting, coaching, line managing and mentoring more junior team members (this role will have direct line management responsibility for 2 HR Administrators) Ensuring the new starter induction is kept up-to-date and acting as the main lead for its delivery to all new starters. Actively monitoring and analysing attendance and coaching managers to manage this appropriately. Carrying out key processes in the employee life cycle such as exit interviews and maternity catch ups. Leading the monthly payroll process which involves preparing detailed payroll instructions for the outsourced payroll provider. Supporting the firm's annual appraisal and ongoing performance management processes for your business areas Helping deliver bespoke internal HR training as required. The person:
Experience of operating at an HR Advisor level in a Partnership environment (legal or another professional services ideal). CIPD qualified (or have equivalent experience) with up-to-date working knowledge of current employment law and HR best practice. Man management/supervisory experience would be advantageous A collaborative team player. Strong attention to detail. Excellent planning and organisation skills. Someone who takes ownership of issues; pro-active in terms of finding solutions to problems / queries. Positive, results-focused and a flexible approach. Able to quickly build effective relationships across all levels of the business, Commercially oriented with good business acumen. Salary
