Are you an HR Advisor with case management/ER experience looking for more responsibility within an educational environment on the outskirts of Reading, Berkshire? (car owner essential)

This is a fantastic opportunity to have more responsibility and make the role your own as it is a newly created position! Initially the role will involve setting foundations with policies, procedures etc and then will involve to relationship building.

This is an office based role and the working hours for the Senior Hr Advisor role are 08.30 to 16.30 Monday to Friday with a paid lunch break and restaurant style food provided free of charge whilst working!

The role essentially involves providing professional expertise on employee relations, performance management and coaching. As the Senior HR Advisor, you will be supporting ER cases, preparing HR documents, managing employee queries, and working with managers and stakeholders to improve and evolve culture.

Main responsibilities of the Senior HR Advisor role

Contribute to the efficient running of the HR function, providing professional HR expertise on employee relations, performance management and attendance to managers and employees, coaching on best practice people management and legislation. Support the implementation of organisational change initiatives, restructures and TUPE. Undertake and analyse employee data to identify any trends/issues. Provide professional advice and support to managers and staff on the interpretation and application of HR policies and procedures, terms and conditions of service and legislation, always promoting good employee relations and ensuring legal obligations are maintained. Actively contribute to the development, review and implementation of HR policies, procedures and toolkits in accordance with employment law and best practice. Ensure all data on manual and computerised records is accurate, compliant (in accordance with GDPR) and up to date and provide accurate and timely reports as and when required from the HRIS system. Support the development of strong communication and feedback channels with all staff and through a variety of mechanisms to support employee engagement.

What skills and experience is needed for the Senior HR Advisor role?

CIPD Level 5 or 7 in HR (or equivalent level of experience) Experience of working within a busy operational HR team. Effective management of a caseload including keeping accurate records and ensuring timely, appropriately risk assessed resolutions. Good working knowledge of employment law and its application when managing and advising on employee relations casework. Experience in promoting equality and diversity. Previous experience of supporting organisational change processes (TUPE and restructures). Experience in coaching line managers on a range of HR related subjects.
