Due to a period of continued growth, there is an exciting opportunity for a Senior Life Fund Accountant to join their supportive team based in Edinburgh.

Your new roleThis is a varied position with the ability to work closely with both internal and external stakeholders.The key responsibilities of the role are:

Oversee and review the monthly control process in order to ensure that all data is captured and fully reconciled to enable client report deliverables by set deadlines.Manage, control, and review your workload to ensure that all deliverables are reviewed by agreed deadlines and items are processed in a timely and accurate manner.Active participation in client meetings to proactively resolve issues and manage performance. Ensure any issues have steps put in place to avoid any recurring issues.Review all investment accounting reports that support the general ledger feed. Ensure post month end control checks are completed and report any issues to the line manager.Manage the preparation and supply of data as required for regulatory returns such as ONS returns. This requires accurate and detailed analysis of accounting data. What you'll need to succeedIn order to succeed in this position, you will be a hard-working, proactive individual who is willing to grow and learn. You will also have a strong understanding of investment accounting and a background in working in financial services is desired. This role is perfect for someone who is already qualified or someone who is currently studying for a professional accountancy qualification.The ability to work in a fast-paced environment alongside other stakeholders is a desirable trait.
