Reed Scientific is working with a global Research and Development company, looking for senior formulation scientists to join their large expert team in the UK. This client is a world-class, thoroughly reputable company, providing fantastic service through evaluation, formulation and development and rigorous analytical testing to maintain safety and sustainability in our food system. In this role, you will undertake formulation responsibilities in the laboratory, helping to manage and supervise a team of junior scientists and technicians. There will be opportunities to conduct new and exciting research into novel technologies, and work in a fantastic state-of-the-art lab. The successful candidate must have a previous background in formulation chemistry, with demonstrable experience in this field. My client are also happy to accept fresh PhD applicants, with a background in formulation. You will need experience in at least some of the following formulation techniques, including; suspensions, granules & powders, emulsifiable concentrates and encapsulation.

Any experience on processing equipment such as; bead mills, hammer mills, extruders and fluid bed driers would be advantageous.

My client will accept formulation experience from a number of sectors, so you do not specifically need experience with agrochemicals eg. cosmetics, detergents, pharma (with a wide range of formulated pharmaceuticals).
