I'm delighted to be working exclusively with MACS Supporting Children and Young People on a fantastic opportunity for a finance professional. MACS are educating young people on living independently through teaching budgeting, bills, applying for benefits, practical skills and finding and setting up accommodation.

Founded in 1990, MACS originally focused on finding housing for young people leaving the care system. They have now expanded to support young people with practical support mentioned above, as well as emotional support, staying in education and finding employment. They have a number of key funders and run the annual Sleep Out as a nationwide fundraiser with the network of charities, Every Youth.

Your new role

This role has come about as a result of restructuring of the organisation. You will be a key member of the busy finance team, managing the finance officer and ensuring the smooth day to day running of all finances. The role involves processing monthly management accounts, forecasting and reporting alongside the management team, preparing for audit and assisting with budgeting. You will report directly to the Head of Corporate Services and contribute to the efficient running of the overall organisation.

What you'll need to succeed

2 years finance experience and IATI/AAT qualified OR4 years finance experienceWorking experience in purchase/sales ledgerExperience working with finance software, ideally Xero or QuickbooksExcellent communication skillsExperience working in a charity would be advantageous, but is not essential
