Reed Finance has the pleasure of supporting a globally renowned bastion of the academic sector to recruit a Senior Finance Business Partner in their offices in central Oxford.
This role will involve proactive and extensive partnering with senior Finance managers across the Group Functions teams including (but not limited to) Finance Directors, FP&A, Divisional FDs, managers, Operations, and the Group Finance Controller, as well as external suppliers and external auditors. Key responsibilities include:
Providing high quality support to the Technology and ops depts to enhance understanding of financial performance, using data to support and influence decision makingProvide insight into underlying financial cost to support with budgets/forecasts, identifying and implementing efficienciesPrepare investment appraisals and business cases as required to support initiatives.Partner with the FP&A team to the development of accurate financial budgeting and forecasting processesfor Technology & Operations to enhance financial control and support to strategy development, scenario planning and decision-making processes.Support Finance with any Group Functions escalations or queries. Enhance financial control and risk management within Technology & Operations areas, plus respond to internal audit activityWork with Divisional Technology & Operations Business Partners, to ensure that financial direction aligns with Divisional priorities and that cross-functional dependencies are considered
You must be a qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) and have proven success in commercial finance roles, with a detailed knowledge and understanding of key commercial drivers. Experience working with FP&A or Finance Operations is beneficial but not essential. As an individual you will be dynamic, analytical, flexible, and able to effectively partner with diverse individuals at all levels of a business, including presenting financial data in an accessible way to non-finance professionals.
