The organisation is a vibrant and passionate practice that are committed to delivering engineering design solutions with ESG and sustainability embedded in their projects.Your new roleThe consultancy is seeking a highly skilled and experienced ESG Consultant to join their team as an ESG consultant at a mid–senior level. You will play a key role in supporting clients in developing and implementing robust ESG strategies, assessing and managing sustainability risks and driving positive social and environmental impact.Key responsibilities:
Provide strategic guidance and leadership to clients on ESG matters, including sustainability strategies, policies and frameworks.Conduct comprehensive ESG assessments and audits to identify risks, opportunities and areas for improvement.Collaborate with project teams to integrate ESG considerations into project design, planning and implementation.Provide expertise and guidance on climate change adaptation and mitigation strategies.Support clients in developing and implementing sustainable development goals and targets.Stay up to date with emerging ESG regulations, frameworks, and reporting standards and ensure compliance.Develop and deliver ESG training programmes and workshops for internal teams and clients.Collaborate with external stakeholders such as NGOs, industry associations, and government bodies to promote sustainable practices and partnerships.Advise clients on SRI strategies and impact investing.Support business development efforts by participating in client meetings, proposal development and presenting on ESG topics at industry events. What you'll need to succeed
Bachelor's or master's degree in environmental science, sustainability, engineering, or a related field.Proven experience as an ESG consultant or in a similar role, preferably within a consulting environment.In–depth knowledge of ESG frameworks, standards (e.g., SASB, GRI, TCFD), and reporting guidelines (e.g., CDP, DJSI).Strong understanding of sustainability practices, climate change, and social impact issues.Experience in conducting ESG assessments, audits, and risk analysis.Proficiency in developing and implementing ESG strategies and policies.Familiarity with sustainability certifications and rating systems (e.g., LEED, BREEAM) is advantageous.Excellent analytical, problem–solving, and project management skills.Strong communication and presentation abilities, with the ability to convey complex ESG concepts to diverse stakeholders.Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in multidisciplinary teams and engage with clients and external stakeholders effectively.Professional certifications related to ESG (e.g., CSR–P, ESG Analyst) are a plus.
