Senior Engineering Geologist or Senior Geotechnical Engineer
WatfordFirmly established as one of the leading multidisciplinary consultants, our client is excited to expand their Ground Engineering division. A huge forward workload has created a number of opportunities for Engineering Geologists and Geotechnical Engineers. The company benefits from scale but is well balanced in terms of team culture and individual development and support.
We are seeking individuals who can manage a good flow of work with existing clients as well as the development of less experienced staff. You will be surrounded by a team of experienced Engineering Geologists and Geotechnical Engineers who will support your continued technical development.
To be successful in the role you will be experienced in undertaking, scoping and reviewing preliminary risk assessments and intrusive ground investigations and a basic understanding of contaminated land legislation and planning regime, with the support of geo-environmental specialist staff.
You will be familiar with writing and reviewing Interpretative reports including a comprehensive understanding of ground models, geotechnical engineering properties and soil behaviours.
You will also be competent reviewing Ground Investigation Reports and Geotechnical Design Reports relating to temporary works e.g., crane bases, working platforms, slope stability, foundations (Shallow and deep). earthwork specification, retaining Structures, etc, etc.
As this is a multidisciplinary business, experience working across multidisciplinary functions will be positive.
With a strong technical background, and developing project management skills, you will already possess approximately 5 years experience and be ready to embrace your next move with a company that has fantastic office locations, has invested heavily in technology.
