Typically coaching and mentoring other design engineersWorking with a degree of technical autonomy, demonstrates a commitment to professional design engineering principles and valuesSchedule own work to meet target time scales and budget demandsCommunicate with customer representatives, classification authorities and suppliers in writing, by telephone and in face to face meetings, and with other internal functions as necessary to discuss technical issues and problemsProvide and produce calculations as required to justify a proposed course of actionDevelop and produce models, drawings and other design outputs consistent with the contractual requirements to meet target dates and budget demands (Delivery to time, quality and budget)Answer Technical queries about his/her work within their level of knowledge and competency.Key Skills
Requires good communication skills; must understand technical instructions and be able to communicate technical information to othersTypically holds an HNC/HNDCommitment to professional engineering valuesThe theoretical knowledge to solve problems in developed technologies using well proven analytical techniquesThis role will require the person to hold full Security Clearance (SC) prior to working onsite. You will need to obtain a BPSS check as part of this process. You must currently hold or be eligible and willing to obtain SC. In addition, this role involves direct and/or indirect access to ITAR Material which means there are restrictions on dual nationals. The Umbrella rate quoted above is the Gross Umbrella rate (i.e. the rate we pay to the Umbrella Company inclusive of ALL employment costs). Please note, the rate paid by the Umbrella will be less, as will a Limited Deemed rate or Agency PAYE rate. Please get in touch to discuss the rates via these different payment vehicles.
