NSB Recruitment have a unique opportunity for a Senior Ecologist to join one of the most innovative and dynamic independent ecological consultancies in the UK.

This client has grown considerably in the last 12 months in revenue and head count (now at over 70 technical staff), they are looking to add to the team with more of the industry s brightest at senior grade.
The senior roles will suit you well if you can demonstrate at least four or five years of experience across a broad range of surveys for habitats and protected species. Ideally, you will be a Member of CIEEM. You will have a comprehensive working knowledge of planning policy, best practice, and legislative drivers for ecological consultancy. You should be unafraid to confront the status quo, troubleshoot on sticky projects and enjoy the challenge that comes with responsibility for and mentorship of junior colleagues.

My client is not just looking for any old ecologist that meets the technical competences demands of the role. They are looking for people that they d actually enjoy working with. So, you need to be enthusiastic, disciplined, demonstrate common sense, have ruthless attention to detail and be able to make smart decisions when faced with competing priorities. Being laid back, funny, outgoing and an excellent communicator (including in writing) is pretty much essential too.
You ll be expected to walk the talk, so you ll need solid field id. across a range of species and habitats. My client does a lot of bat work., so, a class 1 bat licence is essential. Class 2 is ideal. The ability to write EPSL and especially BMCL is highly desirable. You re comfortable with the application of BNG on sites large and small. You have demonstrable experience of QCing/coaching/mentoring junior staff. About this Opportunity
