Penguin Recruitment are working with a highly experienced professional consultancy based in Lancashire. They are looking for a Senior Ecologist to join the team.

The Senior Ecologist package includes:

In this role you would be expected to work no more than 2 nights per week during the survey season. You would be part of a highly experienced team of Ecologists with over 60 years combined experience. Their services include ecological surveys, impact assessment, mitigation design, biodiversity net-gain assessments, ecological clerk-of-works, licensing and much more. They work with all sizes of clients from private individuals, Local Authorities, utility companies to Property & Development and have a diverse and exciting range of projects.

Your main duties:

Ecological input to a varied range of projects across different sectorsLeading, planning and coordinating field surveys, analysing and interpreting survey resultsWorking with other disciplines, planning and coordinating ecological mitigation worksUndertaking reporting of Preliminary Ecological Assessments and Ecological Impact AssessmentsPreparing protected species licence applicationsManaging work enquiries, preparing bids and building client relationshipsLeading on projects and managing project budgetsMentoring and providing team management and support What you must have to succeed:

A degree qualification in a relevant subjectMembership of CIEEM (Eligible for) or other bodyProven track record of working within an ecological consultancyUnderstanding of UK planning policy and wildlife legislationBe capable of carrying out Preliminary Ecological AppraisalsStrong report writing skillsFull driving licence If you are interested in this or other roles in ecological consultancy, please contact Lloyd Key via or call .
