Senior Structural Technician

Bristol OR Warrington - Hybrid working (2-days a week in Office)

Between 35p/h - 45p/h (Umbrella) DOE

1 - 2 Year Contract

About the role:

Astute's Nuclear team is partnering with a large UK defence company to recruit a Senior Structural Technician to be based out of either there Bristol OR Warrington offices as part of the CS&A team working on nuclear projects. As the Senior Structural Technician, you'll be responsible for delivering nuclear design work, inspections, and construction site support on projects for a range of public and private sector clients.

Key skills:HNC qualified in Civil / Structural Engineering or an appropriate Engineering profession.Working towards, or achieved, EngTech Member status with the ICE or IStructE.Significant experience in the design and detailing of structures in reinforced concrete and steelwork.It would be advantageous but not necessary to have previous experience within the nuclear industry.Conversant with Autodesk products with a minimum of 2 years project experience on Revit and Navisworks.Successful candidate must be able to achieve the appropriate security clearance level for this role.

Responsibilities:To support in Delivering Nuclear design work, inspections and construction site support on projects for a range of public and private sector clients within the UK and overseas. Work encompasses the full lifecycle of a project.Prepare the designs of structures and infrastructure of varying complexity, including production of relevant models and drawings using Autodesk products, particularly Revit and AutoCAD, throughout the various stages of the design process.Provide technical support to other members of the team.Understand and support the process for developing and implementing BIM Level 2 compliant systems and processes.

Location, remuneration and timeframe of the Technical Author role:

Role is based in Bristol OR Warrington and offers hybrid working.Role offers a Salary of up to 45p/h Umbrella.Will be a 1 -2 Year contract.
