AWE is currently recruiting for a Senior Civil Engineer (Buildings, Plant & Infrastructure) to deliver and lead professional engineering services to enable the Principal Asset Engineer, in fulfilment of the strategy for the upkeep of all assets and equipment AWE needs in order to deliver the Programme.

Package - 42,650 - 65,000 (depending on your suitability and level of experience) Plus Allowances

What will you be responsible for?
Building and applying extensive domain and technical knowledge for design intent, as-built drawings and performance through life for engineered structures
Interpreting and delivering the requirements of complex and high profile tasks, and make evidence based professional engineering decisions to solve technical problems within area of responsibility
Identifying and escalating business risk arising from condition of engineered structures, and follow up on actions
Demonstrating adherence to company requirements and relevant technical standards and advise others how to adhere efficiently
Carrying out regular inspections, identifying shortfalls and issues
Carrying out structural and condition surveys and delivering clear technical reports on the findings and recommendations
Preparing information, and designs to allow a contractor to carry out repairs
Carrying out all relevant duties in relation to CDM 2015
What will you need to be considered?
Minimum HNC in Civil Engineering or related subject with suitable additional experience to Incorporated Engineer equivalent level
Membership of a relevant engineering institution ideally Chartered but a minimum Incorporated Engineer with relevant experience
Previous experience of structural assessments, inspections, and structural repair systems
Candidates must be willing and able to obtain and maintain the necessary security clearance for the role.
