Senior Buyer - Team Leader (12 Month FTC with a potential of an extension)

Hybrid. Monday to Friday Day shift.
As Senior Buyer you will be responsible for ensuring that the company's customers receive their products on time, within budget and to the highest quality standards. You will be accountable for the entire procurement cycle, including supplier analysis, supplier management and relevant performance metrics.
Key Responsibilities:
Working with the Purchasing Manager, you will manage approved suppliers and implement the best commercial solutions for current and future parts and assemblies
Manage inventory levels, orders and sales
Negotiate cost reductions, best service approach and optimise payment terms
Minimise supply risk and inventory exposure
Manage buyer or buyers, setting objectives and managing performance
Have input into Service Level Agreements
Be primary point of escalation for any supplier issues
Manage supplier performance
Work closely with the planning team, understanding changes in business needs as well as communicating material availability issues that may impact build schedules
The Person:
Purchasing qualification such as CIPS Level 4 is desirable
Qualification in a technical discipline at HNC/ HND Level
Strong Excel and data analysis skills
MRP fluent, ideally E1, SAP or Oracle
Experience with similar role responsibilities in an engineering/ production environment
