The role

As a Senior Buyer you'll have a role that's out of the ordinary. As the focal point for the Programme and Project lead you will be responsible for one procurement project, driving performance and value opportunities.

Day to day, you'll identify value opportunities and levers, as well as:

Supply Chain Design for packages of workSupplier Relationship ManagementOperational Excellence and reportingCross functional communication within the programmeCommercial awarenessThis role is a hybrid role with a Minimum 1 day per week onsite at Bristol.

Essential experience of the Senior Buyer:

Analytical skills to analyse data and make decisions.Be able to read and understand technical drawings and ability to communicate complex requirements to/from supply chain is an advantage.Ability to establish strong relationships with key stakeholders across the business and suppliers.Self-motivated with a flexible approach to workloadStrong negotiation skills.Qualifications for the Senior Buyer:

Experience within a Supply Chain role, preferably in a Defence or Engineering environmentMCIPS desirable but not essentialThe successful candidate must be able to achieve SC security clearance for this role.
