To be part of the team who conduct and manage our supply chain focussed activities. The team focus on the timely control of our purchase orders & supply chain, supply forecasting and raw material inventory levels. To be an active member of new product introduction (NPI) projects, ensuring excellent performance with a key focus on supplier performance for cost, quality, delivery and communication.
Responsibilities:
Manage material supply to production and sales via use of MRP (Materials Requirements Planning) driven purchasing with focus on supplier performance (on–time delivery, supplier quality and purchase price variance)Negotiate and establish pricing and supplier agreements.Manage supplier communications for performance and forecasting.Maintaining MRP procurement data (lead–times, prices, batch sizing, safety stock, etc)Identify and control obsolescence risks.Control freight inwards costsInvolved with creation of new MRP items.Identify and implement cost saving projects.Input into supply chain risk register and risk reduction activities.Handle vendor managed inventory (VMI) programs.Identify and develop opportunities for supplier improvement and/or rationalisation.Create, schedule and maintain internal orders for replenishment of spares and consumables.Represent supply chain within the cross–function and NPI meetings.Processing of purchase requisition for direct and in–direct spend.Manage non–conformance materials and the supplier returns process.Attend and/or host supplier review meetings.
