Description

Our client is seeking a talented Finance Business Partner to join their dynamic team.

As a pivotal member of their finance team, you will directly report to the Head of Finance, collaborating closely with various departments within the business. This role, based in the Norwich office with regular inter-office travel, offers a unique opportunity to contribute to the financial processes and play a vital role in supporting the business objectives.

Responsibilities & Duties:

Commercial:

Partner with clients, client service teams, and specialty departments for effective project management, including pricing, contracting, budgeting, forecasting, credit and cash management, and reporting.Develop payment schedules aligning with financial objectives, ensuring positive cash flow.Understand and manage client invoicing requirements, payment terms, revenue recognition, and project close processes.Oversee monthly time and expense reviews, ensuring accurate recording and processing of timesheet transfers and journals.Manage budget vs. actual time and cost of sales reporting, identifying areas for improvement.Collaborate with client services to create client budgets, mitigating foreign exchange exposure.Proactively address risks and reserve/write-off requirements for receivable and unbilled balances.Develop and maintain efficient commercial procedures, ensuring compliance with internal controls and statutory requirements. Accounting & Financial Planning:

Prepare month-end accounts to gross profit.Conduct client budget variance analysis.Support quarterly Sarbanes-Oxley auditing.Provide information for monthly cash flow forecasting.Prepare monthly reforecasting for client revenue to gross profit.Prepare and submit monthly revenue estimates ("flash").Conduct ad-hoc analysis as required. Administration:

Provide general support to the finance team for day-to-day tasks.Process the setup of new job requests.Oversee onboarding of new clients, including credit checks. This position demands a candidate with strong financial acumen, attention to detail, and the ability to navigate complex financial processes.
