Unique opportunity for a confident Architect or Senior Architectural Technician to join a growing development consultancy team, as part of a leading Architectural practice in Manchester. This role will focus on the remediation and refurbishment of existing buildings.

We are looking for a qualified Architectural professional with good experience working on refurbishment projects and a good understanding of building regulations and very strong Technical knowledge. Ideally this person will have a minimum of 5 years practical experience and a in-depth knowledge of construction.

You will be working closely with an experience team of professionals UK-wide. This Architectural studio have offices in both Manchester and London, they can offer a wide range of project work across both regions. There is a focus here on sustainability and ensuring that existing buildings will comply with new building regulations regarding cladding and Fire safety. Pre-existing knowledge & awareness of this subject would be advantageous.

Some of the responsibilities will include:

Visiting various sites and leading/attending site meetings where necessary.To investigate and survey existing buildings for defects.Producing high quality design & technical information.Communication with internal & external teams of construction professionals.Reporting on project progress to senior colleagues and Directors.Maintaining Technical and design standards in-line with practice standardsThis role of Architect / Senior Architectural Technician would be well suited to someone with a passion for working on existing buildings. This is an intensive but rewarding role for the right person. We are ideally looking for someone competent with REVIT software.
