We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Animal Technician to join our clients growing team in Surrey. Our client proudly holds over 100 years of outstanding achievement in the industry and are rated in the top four centres for cancer research and treatment in the world.

As a part of the Cancer Biomarker Team, you will support preclinical work using genetically modified mouse models and patients. You must have a PIL and previous experience as a Senior Animal Technician.

The role:

Daily checking of cages and animals for signs of husbandry and welfare requirementsTo maintain colonies of patient derived tumour lines in–vivoTo maintain colonies of breeding and experimental Transgenic mouse modelsTo run experimental studies at all stages i.e., randomisation, enrolment, dosing, measurements, and samplingTo carry out procedures under the authority of the relevant Home Office personal and project licencesSupervise and training of junior members of staffTo ensure routine husbandry procedures are followed within the BSUTo ensure adequate provision of food and water as described in Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)To maintain all working areas to the acceptable standard What we're looking for:
