My client is a well established, independent Lloyds broking house based in the City of London. Due to some internal changes they are looking for someone to come in on a fixed term, contractual basis to support their accounting function. There is an opportunity for this role to become permanent for the right candidate.Please note this is a Fixed Term Contract – The ideal candidate would be someone open to the idea of the role becoming permanent.THE ROLE Review, approve and release of day to day banking entries as prepared by the Accounting team.Assist with accounting aspects of their systems, including the review and scrutiny of postings, system control checks, reconciliations, closings and maintenanceReview of NST bank account reconciliationsAssist with preparation of monthly brokerage and reporting schedules.Assist with preparation of financial management information including variance analysis in a timely manner.Assist with preparation of EIRB management accounts, brokerage reports and associated board reportingAssist with preparation for the annual statutory and CASS audits for the HW Wood group and EIRB and assist the on–site audit teamOther ad hoc tasks and reporting ABOUT YOU: Above all, you are detail oriented and strive to achieve accurate workYou have experience with working with the FCA, PRA and other regulatorsYou have experience working within the Financial services industry (experience within insurance would be a big plus!)You have excellent organizational skills and are able to manage multiple ongoing deadlines at onceYou are proficient with accounting software's. The client uses Exchequer, Acturis and IBS Systems.You have experience managing accounting professionals.You are working towards or have recently achieved an Accounting qualificationYou are educated up to degree level.
