A fantastic opportunity for an experienced Qualified Accountant to join a Global company. As the Senior Accountant you will be a key support within the Accounting & Corporate Finance Team with monthly Accounting close processes and the annual Statutory Accounting process including statutory reporting and SEC required reporting and controls.
Senior Accountant Responsibilities
3 UK reporting entities (1x HoldCo, 1xMidCo and Operating Entity)
Financial accounting, Statutory Accounting & Reporting and financial controlsMonth End financial close ensuring tasks and reviews are completed in line with the month end timetable, compliant with controls and delivering accurate financial statements Responsible for ongoing control of various balance sheet balances and for analytical reviews to ensure completeness and correctness of balance sheet reconciliations submitted by other team members, including leading investigations and resolving outstanding items Preparation and review of accurate and timely monthly and quarterly local and SEC financial reports, providing commentary to explain significant variances Responsible for correct accounting of significant contracts, accruals, reserves and adjustments to ensure accuracy and compliance with FRS102 and US GAAP Continuous review and improvement of various tasks and processes to ensure best practice standards, improve efficiency, productivity and financial control Responsible for end-to-end accounting for non-operating entities within the UK Group Support internal and external audits by ensuring requested documentation is provided in a timely manner, including working with other departments to obtain required information, conducting walk throughs, demonstration of controls and responding to queries in a confident and professional manner. Carry out detailed investigations on existing processes and effect development required to ensure correct accounting. Present, document and implement changes or new processes Manage financial projects from start to end as required Provide support and cover for team members to ensure deliverables are met Deputise for the Accounting Manager as required
Skills and experienced required:
Qualified Accountant with PQE minimum 2 years ACCA, ACAExperienced of FRS102 UK GAAP and US GAAP Accounting frameworksSignificant experience and responsibility for month end close processes and reportingSignificant experience of delivering process improvement including efficienciesGood understanding of Chart of accounts, clearing accounts and balance sheet reconciliations, accounting and reporting controls CompetenciesFinance and Strategy skills matrixAccounting analysis - ProficientAccounting research and reporting - ProficientStrategic thinking and problem solving - ProficientSOX and Internal Controls - ProficientCommunication - ProficientBBBH29517
