Are you looking for a job in the New Year? I am currently working with a public sector organisation based in the North East. They are looking for a Senior Accountant to join their team on a permanent basis. The organisation is looking for the Senior Accountant to work on a hybrid basis where they would be expected to go into the offices 3 days / week. This role is paying up to 50,000 / annum with some additional great benefits. Please see some details below on the role:

Duties of the role will include but not limited too:

As a Senior Accountant you will be supporting the Finance Partner taking responsibility for month and year end compliance, regulatory and statutory returns, and tax complianceWithin the role you would be supporting with the monthly management accounts including providing balance sheet variance analysis commentary As a Senior Accountant you will draft any necessary external audit, financial statement and accounting treatment reports for risk and audit committee You will be preparing regulatory returns supporting the financial statements and ONS processes

The successful candidate will have:

A fully qualified accountancy qualification with significant PQE Proven experience of the ability to lead and motivate a team to achieve performance targetsDemonstratable experience of the principal accountabilities of the role - VAT, corporation tax and regulatory return experience is desirable not experience Strong technical skills with high level of specialist knowledge of financial and accounting procedures and the ability to provide professional advice and guidance
