Senior Accountant, ACCA/CIMA part qualified or finalist, Northampton, c 35,000- 40,000

Our client, a highly reputable, well established and successful accountancy services organisation, is seeking a Senior Accountant to join their central office. This role will report into the Partner of the organisation and will take ownership of working with a number of clients including sole traders, partnerships and limited companies.

As the Senior Accountant, your responsibilities will include:

Accounts preparation for a wide variety of clients, for senior manager or Partner to review Corporation tax and company tax returns to HMRC VAT returns and queries Statutory Accounts preparation HMRC, client and partner ad-hoc queries and requests For the Senior Accountant role we are looking for someone who is ideally ACCA/CIMA/ACA finalist or part qualified, and actively studying. The individual will ideally have a firm understanding of handling accounts for variety of clients, as well as a good understanding of statutory accounts preparation and corporation tax. This individual will need to be self-motivated with the ability to work to tight deadlines and client requests. Having prior experience in a practice/accountancy environment would be highly beneficial coming into this role. Working as part of a small team to ensure that required expectations on all deliverables are met, you will also require confident and effective communication skills.
