Role Overview:
As a SEND and Early Years Teacher, you will play a vital role in shaping the educational journey of our young learners with social, emotional, and behavioural needs. Your expertise will create a supportive and stimulating environment where every child can thrive.
Responsibilities:
Curriculum Planning and Delivery:Design and deliver engaging lessons tailored to the unique needs of early years students (ages 3-11).Adapt teaching methods to accommodate diverse learning styles and abilities.Individualised Support:Work closely with pupils who require extra support due to behavioural challenges or emotional difficulties.Foster positive relationships and provide personalised guidance.Assessment and Progress Tracking:Assess student progress and adapt teaching strategies accordingly.Collaborate with colleagues to develop individualised learning plans.Behaviour Management:Implement effective behaviour management techniques to create a safe and respectful classroom environment.Support students in developing social and emotional skills.Parent and Guardian Communication:Maintain open communication with parents and guardians, sharing progress updates and addressing concerns.Collaborate on strategies for consistency between home and school.Inclusion and Differentiation:Promote an inclusive ethos, ensuring that all students feel valued and included.Differentiate instruction to meet diverse learning needs.Collaboration:Work closely with teaching assistants, therapists, and external agencies.Attend multidisciplinary meetings to support holistic student development.
Qualifications and Skills:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS): Essential for this role.Early Years Expertise: Specialism in early childhood education.Empathy and Patience: Ability to connect with young learners and create a nurturing environment.Adaptability: Willingness to tailor teaching approaches to individual needs.

SEN Awareness: Knowledgeable in supporting students with behavioural challenges.DBS Check: The successful candidate will undergo a Disclosure and Barring Service check.
