SEN Teaching Assistant
Now Education are currently working in partnership with an Ofsted graded 'Good' school based in Leeds (LS14). The school are looking for a compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join their team with an immediate start. The school require someone to provide tailored support on a one to one basis with a Key Stage 1 pupil with ADHD.
SEN Teaching Assistant Responsibilities:
- Work closely with classroom teachers to support the individual learning needs of students with SEN, in particular for this role with ADHD.
- Provide one-on-one support to children with additional needs.
- Implement and adapt strategies to manage challenging behaviour and help students achieve their educational goals.
- Create a supportive and inclusive learning environment.
- Assist in the development of Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and track progress.
- Foster positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.
- Maintain a safe and nurturing classroom environment.
Job Requirements:
- Previous experience working with children with additional needs is imperative.
- Team Teach training or similar certification such as PBS would be desirable
- Patience, empathy, and a positive attitude.
- A genuine passion for supporting the educational and emotional development of children.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
