Role Overview:

As a Science Teacher, you will inspire and engage our diverse student body in scientific exploration. Your role is pivotal in fostering a love for learning, promoting well-being, and supporting students’ unique needs.

Responsibilities:

Curriculum Delivery:Plan and deliver engaging science lessons tailored to individual learning styles.Adapt teaching methods to accommodate diverse abilities and interests.Student Support:Provide one-to-one and small group support for students during lessons.Foster a positive classroom atmosphere, addressing behavioural challenges with empathy.Assessment and Progress Tracking:Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback.Collaborate with colleagues to develop personalised learning plans.SEN Awareness:Understand and respond to the specific needs of students with social, emotional, and mental health difficulties.Implement strategies to support their emotional well-being.Collaboration:Work closely with teaching assistants, therapists, and external agencies.Attend multidisciplinary meetings to ensure holistic student development.

Qualifications and Skills:

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS): Essential for this role.Science Specialism: Strong subject knowledge in science (biology, chemistry, or physics).Empathy and Patience: Ability to connect with students and create a safe learning environment.Adaptability: Willingness to embrace innovative teaching approaches.

Additional Information:

SEN Experience: Previous experience in SEN settings is advantageous.DBS Check: The successful candidate will undergo an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service check.
