Key Responsibilities: As an SEMH Teaching Assistant, your responsibilities will include:
Providing one-to-one or small group support to primary school students with SEMH needs.Assisting with the development and implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and behavior support plans.Collaborating with classroom teachers to adapt and differentiate lessons to accommodate the needs of students with SEMH challenges.Creating a safe and supportive classroom environment where students can thrive academically and emotionally.
Requirements: To excel in SEMH Teaching Assistant role, you should have:
Proactivity, resilience, kindness and empathyProven experience working with primary school students with SEMH needs.An enhanced DBS on the update service (or willing to go through the process with us)A full checkable work historyStrong communication and interpersonal skills.Empathy and patience when working with students facing SEMH challenges.A commitment to helping these students achieve their full potential.
