Hays are recruiting for a supply teacher to provide interim teaching cover up until spring half term at an SEMH school based in Uttoxeter. The role would be begin in January after the Christmas break and would be full time 5 days per week.

The school is a provision with 96 students aged 11- 16 years old with social, emotional and mental health difficulties with resulting behavioural problems.

Your new role

You will be required to undertake Teaching Responsibilities in line with the school day and plan accordingly for your class (s) in line with curriculum expectations. You will need to make strong bonds quickly, and you must be able to engage students in a creative and initiative framework. Having good personal and professional standards is also required, alongside a willingness to engage with the school calendar as appropriate.

What you'll need to succeed

• QTS status and Teaching Experience.

• A fun and enthusiastic approach to teaching.

• Ability to develop good working practices with staff and students.

• Be able to provide suitable references.

• DBS on update service preferred.

• Recent experience in a classroom-based environment within the last 2 years.

Working with Hays, you will receive a daily pay rate between £120 - £140 per day.

You will have also have a dedicated consultant to provide ongoing support from the point of registering and throughout your time working with us.
