About Us:
Hays are working with a specialised SEN (Special Educational Needs) therapeutic residential and day school.Catering to boys and girls between the ages of 8 and 18 who require additional support due to their unique needs.Our holistic approach focusses on academic, emotional, and social development, providing a safe and nurturing environment for our students.
Role and Responsibilities:
Plan and deliver engaging science lessons tailored to individual student needs.Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment.Collaborate with other teachers, therapists, and support staff to create personalised learning plans.Assess student progress and adapt teaching strategies accordingly.Support students in developing essential life skills and promoting independence.Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute to students’ Individual Education Plans (IEPs).
Requirements:
Qualified teacher status (QTS) or equivalent.Experience working with students with social, emotional, and mental health needs, as well as autism.Strong knowledge of the Science curriculum.Ability to differentiate instruction to meet diverse learning styles.Excellent communication and teamwork skills.Commitment to promoting students’ well-being and personal growth.
