Hays Education has recently seen an increased need for local Science Teachers in Schools across Northamptonshire for day-to-day and long-term supply with the potential for permanent contracts.

We are currently recruiting on behalf of a Northampton Secondary School that is a part of the Creative Education Trust, that provides modern facilities for its students within a stimulating environment. The school has high expectations of both students and staff, well-being and ensuring all staff are delivering high quality lessons and feel motivated and supported. The school’s aim for their students is to make them feel confident and intellectually curious, as well as creating well-rounded individuals through curriculum-based and co-curricular activities. Ofsted have stated the school to be “good” and believe pupils behave well, and the school is a calm and orderly environment.
Your new role
We are recruiting for a full time Science teacher to join the team starting for January until Easter 2024, with the potential for extension. We are looking for experienced people who are motivated to support and inspire students across varied age ranges, as well as act as a form tutor for a specific class.
The assigned person will be expected to make a positive impact on the academic progression of KS3 and KS4 students. You will be able to provide additional attention to specific students when needed, build student relationships and encourage all.
You will be responsible for planning exciting and interesting lessons to engage pupils in their learning. You must be able to passionately deliver your lessons with enthusiasm and be able to drive pupils to achieve their full potential.
On a long-term supply basis you will be required to fulfil an active teaching role including planning, marking and assessment, PPA time will be included.
What you'll need to succeed
The appointed candidate will have full Qualified Teaching Status and be familiar with the current curriculum changes. Hays Education welcomes applications from ECT’s and experienced Teachers!
You will have experience of providing support and high-quality lesson plans and a drive to make a difference through teaching. You must ideally be flexible and adaptable to changing timetables.
