Science Teacher Your new school

This School based in Birmingham are looking for a Science Teacher to join the Department. This is a friendly school that holds high aspirations for its pupils. Having joined a Multi Academy Trust, the school works with the Schools inner network to collaborate effectively and hold themselves and their students to high expectations. This Secondary School is always looking at being innovative and looking at ways to improve.

Your new job

As this is a long-term role starting in January 2024, you will be required to:

Plan and prepare Science lessons for pupils in KS3 and KS4 (potentially KS5 dependent on experience)Complete the marking and assessment of pupils’ work, along with being involved with facility and department meetingsYou will deliver these lessons in a positive learning environment, ensuring all pupils are progressing consistently and achieving target grades. Have a focus on keeping high expectations of students’ attainment and behaviour.

What you'll need to succeed

In order to be successful in securing this position, you must:

Possess QTS or QTLS Have experience teaching Science within a Secondary School. ECT’s with Science placement experience will be considered. You will possess excellent behaviour management skills. You will be keen to work as part of a team, share ideas and good practice. You will be available to start in January and continue on a long-term basis.
