My client is a Barnet based secondary school, looking to recruit the services of a Finance Manager to provide a comprehensive financial support service to the school.The role will help support the school aims through efficient and effective strategic planning and management of the school's financial resources. In detail the role will involve: Aiding strategic decision making through providing accurate and timely financial analysis and forward planningProduction of overall and departmental budgets, alongside on-going monthly reporting and analysisPartnering with budget holders and aiding on causes of significant variance and taking any corrective actionMaintaining systems and procedures that ensure financial transactions are recorded and reported accuratelyFollow appropriate accounting procedures to ensure the effective operation of financial controls with the schoolAdherence to all financial statutory requirements Applications are sought from relevantly experienced finance professionals, ideally with a third sector or public sector background within previous roles that have centred on budget management and financial reporting. Candidates with formal accounting studies, either underway or completed would be an advantage.
