My client is an easily accessible, South East London based Academy school, looking to recruit a new School Business Manager. You will be joining the experienced and supportive team of a leading school, playing a pivotal role in the long–term strategic aims of the school. You will be responsible for strategically leading all areas of the Schools support functions, with a keen focus on Finance, but also to include oversight and management of Administration, Human Resources, Health and Safety and Premises. The role leads with managing the day–to–day finances of the school, ensuring that all income and expenditure is accurately recorded and reconciled. Managing the school budgets, from setting overall and department budgets, though to providing advice to budget holders is a central part of the role. You'll ensure the school adheres to all its statutory obligations around financial returns, reporting and compliance. You will be a central member of the of the Senior Leadership Team, driving the school's ambition and vision, with several short and medium–term projects planned. The role reports into the Headteacher yet will work collaboratively with a wide range of stakeholders to achieve the best outcomes for the school community.Proven success as a School Business Manager is required, with strong interpersonal skills and the ability to influence key stakeholders.
