We're thrilled to present a fantastic new opening with a renowned Audio publisher. They are looking for a Sales Manager to join their accomplished team within the North of England and Scotland. In this role, you will be tasked with retaining and acquiring clients, with a specific focus on public libraries, universities, and schools to ensure sales targets are met within your assigned territory. Although this position is home-based, you will be required to attend in-person meetings to build strong continuing relationships, so therefore, a significant amount of travel will be necessary.
Your responsibilities will encompass establishing and nurturing robust, positive, and enduring client connections. You'll deliver top-tier sales support and continuous account management services to institutional customers within your designated territory. Your duties will extend to promoting our digital solution, and content, as well as physical audio titles. Moreover, you will be entrusted with identifying potential business prospects and spearheading new sales initiatives to generate additional revenue. If you thrive in the world of sales and are passionate about literature, you'll have the opportunity to collaborate closely with the sales team to enhance success in the UK market.
This position will report to the Commercial Director. Your responsibilities will include:
Making regular sales visits to the assigned territoriesDeveloping the sales strategy for the publisher's digital and audio productsBuilding and maintaining strong customer relationshipsReaching and exceeding sales targetsIdentifying new sales opportunities
The perfect candidate should possess prior experience in sales, particularly in a role involving interactions with clients in the commercial sector. It would be ideal if this experience was within industries such as publishing, libraries, or audio markets.
They should demonstrate a strong track record of achieving results and meeting substantial sales targets. In addition, they should excel in both closing deals and employing consultative selling techniques. Strong analytical capabilities, a keen sense of business, and problem-solving prowess are also essential qualities. Furthermore, they should exhibit excellent leadership qualities and be a collaborative team player. Previous experience in team management would be a valuable asset.
