Ardeta Search is delighted to partner with a distinguished family-owned manufacturing business on the South East side of Sheffield in their quest for a dynamic Sales Manager. This role is pivotal for the company's growth strategy in 2024 and the primary focus is overseeing a sales team that caters to blue-chip clients.
Overview of the role:
As the successful Sales Manager, you will be responsible for:
Sales Targets:
Delivering sales targets ethically. Maintaining an overview and insight into all client accounts. Nurturing existing clients and exploring new opportunities with the team. Providing clients with quotations. Negotiating quotations, closing sales, and processing new orders via sales admin. Managing and reporting the sales pipeline, including opportunities, quotes, and orders.
Sales Relationships:
Ensuring the team arranges visits/calls with existing and potential clients. Optimizing cross-selling of products and services across all business units. Gathering market/client information and providing feedback on buying trends. Exploring and analysing market trends, identifying new opportunities relevant to business units. Preparation and monitoring of sales KPIs and activity logs. Attending weekly sales and monthly commercial review meetings.
The Successful Applicant
Key Competencies
Technical:
Experience selling in a B2B environment, ideally into large corporates. Ability to grow and maintain a pipeline. Excellent time and diary management for themselves and their team. Identifying new opportunities, i.e., markets, clients, products & services. Strong presenting skills. Good networking skills. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with strong negotiation skills. Broad understanding of the building and construction industry, products, and regulations. Excellent team management skill set.
