A world leading manufacturer of complex components to the aerospace and defence sectors has a new vacancy for a Sales Manager to join the team. You will lead the business development activities for one of their significant business units and will be tasked with ensuring new business meets with growth plans and develop long term customer relationships. Candidates are sought with experience in the aerospace and defence sectors and a good understanding of current & upcoming programmes and business opportunities.
Commutable from: Cheltenham, Gloucester, Bristol, Worcester, Sindon, Oxford, Newport, Cardiff.
Salary: 60,000 - 66,000 p.a. + car allowance + bonus + pension

The Role
Develop and win global business opportunities in the Aerospace and Defence sectors.
Manage, coach and develop the sales team.
Set and maintain pricing strategies to all customers to ensure profitability.
Develop and implement strategic sales plans to ensure goals of the Business Unit are achieved.
Direct sales forecasting activities and set performance goals accordingly.
Review market analysis to determine customer needs.
Meet with key clients, maintaining relationships and negotiate business deals.
Prepare weekly, monthly, quarterly sales reports.
Attend networking activities, trade shows and industry events.
Work with the senior leadership team to ensure products meet with industry requirements and advise on new opportunities.
The Candidate
Candidates are sought with experience in a senior sales role with a demonstratable background in developing & maximising commercial opportunities. With a background in an engineering or manufacturing environment candidates are sought with a good understanding of the aerospace & defence sectors.
With a hands-on approach and customer focused you will excellent negotiation skills, be commercially astute and highly motivated with a strong desire to achieve targets.
